The world is waking up!Norwegian rock band Knee-high Spin Kick, led by London born Christian Soks, are ready to make their UK debut at the Water Rats.
Shaking up the Norwegian music scene, they now aim to deliver a yin-yang of steel-heavy riffs and melodic softer numbers in their upcoming shows and releases. Having been a band for over 2 years, Knee-high Spin Kick have continued to deliver their combination groovy basslines, machine-esque drums, and moody guitar. Paired with their recent focus on the world’s current political climate, the lyrics paint reflective and observant storytelling, expanding further upon the theme of their debut single “Watch the World Go Bye”. This has cemented Knee-High Spin Kick’s newfound identity as a protest band. Knee-high Spin Kick has continued to receive recognition songs off their first album , with “Watch the World Go Bye” receiving an award nomination from Radio Wigwam and “You’re Gonna Get It” placing first on Pod Duck’s Hot 5 in September 2024. 2024 also saw the band’s first festival participation, Lakes on Fire International Music Festival in Lillehammer, Norway. Their first single in their new era, “Song of the Pagan” was released on 8th November 2024, which they released with a fantastic packed concert at Kvarteret one week later. Rumour has it that their sophomore album is set to be released in 2025.

My Everest, combine heavy riffs, melodic hooks and on-stage charisma to shape formidable live shows.
In 2019, they issued their debut single, “Down With the Pressure” to great acclaim and BBC airplay. Next up a self titled EP released at a Sold Out show (02 Islington) but COVID meant they had to scrap the national tour!
The boys came back with the “Gold Streets EP” which the released during their Sold Out headline show at Camden Assembly – A seminal moment for the band.
This EP took My Everest to the finals of IoW Festival “New Blood” Competition in 2022. Beating out 5000 other entrants. An experience that lifted the band to new level.
Expect White Denim, Rock, Roll, and energy.
