KMRHS 75th Anniversary Open House

The Kalamazoo Model Railroad Historical Society will host an open house celebrating its 75th Anniversary on Saturday, June 20, 2026, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the society’s facility.
We invite all railroad enthusiasts, model railroaders, and the general public to this family friendly event. KMRHS will have its doors open to showcase our club layout, talk to guests about our history, and host presentations about model railroading.
Activities include operating trains on the club’s Cooper Park & Eastern Railroad HO scale layout, Red and Black layout for children, tours of the 1917 BCG&A 802 Caboose, dedication of a memorial plaque honoring past members, presentations of KMRHS history, caboose history and restoration, the new CP&E Layout, operations and dispatching, dispatching at Kalamazoo’s BO Tower, and building a New Layout.
