Tonight's nos lowen bands:
Bagas Fellyon - Cornish for ‘The Band of Fools’, Bagas Fellyon are a gloriously chaotic groove juggernaut! They experiment and innovate within the growing nos lowen style of Cornish traditional music. This year they have played at some of the best venues and events Cornwall has to offer and taken Cornish music to various UK festivals and to Lorient Interceltic Festival in Brittany.
Cove - Instrumental trio comprising Kerensa Wright on hammered dulcimer, Neil McMahon on fiddle and Keith Mountfield on bouzouki, whistle and bodhrán. Whether it is a concert performance or music for Nos Lowen dancing, Coves performances are full of energy and passion. The beautiful melodies, intricate harmonies, and foot-tapping arrangements all come together to create a truly magical experience for their audiences.
Backalong - “Searching through dusty manuscripts for hidden gems”. Fiddle/bouzouki duo ‘Backalong’ create fresh new arrangements from Cornwall’s forgotten melodies. Featuring Neil McMahon and Joshua Barrett.
