Lifelong Liverpool fan Anthony has crafted a memorable love letter to Jürgen Klopp. Taking in all the drama of LFC’s disrupted, but ultimately triumphant, 2019-20 season, it offers unique insight into one of football’s most charismatic figures. His book has just been updated with a farewell chapter and is described by This Is Anfield as 'Informative and emotive.’
Anthony Quinn was born in Liverpool. He started out as a freelance writer in London and contributed to The Observer, Guardian, Sunday Times, New York Times, Esquire and Marie Claire. He was for fifteen years the film critic of the Independent (1998-2013). He has written nine novels, including Curtain Call (2015). A film of Curtain Call, titled The Critic and starring Ian McKellen and Gemma Arterton, is due for release in 2024. His next novel The Mouthless Dead is based on the Wallace M**der case in 1930s Liverpool, and will be published in March 2025.
Ragnhild Lund Ansnes is an author, journalist, motivational speaker, broadcaster and co-owner of the LFC boutique Hotel TIA in Anfield Road. She is the author of four books about Liverpool FC and was the editor for the Norwegian translation of Bill Shankly’s autobiography and she has written Bruce Grobbelaar’s autobiography Life in a Jungle. She hosts the weekly podcast, LFC Talk @ Hotel Tia, alongside David Fairclough and guests, she is also the founder of Livergirls International.
