The ongoing conflict in Ukraine shows few signs of ending soon and the humanitarian and reconstruction needs mount daily. The historical, cultural, and musical connections between Ukraine and klezmer are at the heart of this fundraising evening of music and community dance at the newly-redecorated Birch Community Centre (near Rusholme).The evening will be hosted by members of the local klezmer community. For the last decade or so, in and around Manchester, Hard Times Kapelye and Judith Plowman & Adrian Dobson have been leading klezmer performance and dance respectively.
All monies made from the event will go to the Disaster Emergency Committee https://www.dec.org.uk/appeal/ukraine-humanitarian-appeal
