*Vad?*
Vi kommer att möta både oss själva och andra med lekfullhet och nyfikenhet och utmana oss själva att hitta nya mönster och möjligheter i dansen.
Kursen kommer att kombinera olika teknikövningar med mer öppna strukturer där man kan utveckla sin förmåga att improvisera i en grupp och testa de verktyg vi har arbetat med. Det kommer att finnas ett tvåfaldigt fokus på specifika tekniska kroppsmönster relaterade till delad vikt och lyft samt fokus på kompositionsmedvetenhet kring vad vi skapar tillsammans i rummet.
Klasserna kommer också att innehålla tid för diskussion och reflektion kring era upplevelser.
Klasserna hålls på engelska eller svenska beroende på gruppens önskemål.
*Nivå*
Klasserna är blandad-nivå och är riktad mot er som redan dansar KI regelbunden och vill fördjupa sig i formen och/eller ni som är ny till formen. Det är dock önskvärd att du har en förståelse för vad KI är för något (t.ex har varit på ett jam förut eller testat formen tidigare).
*Pris*
Glidande skala: 150kr - 300 kr per tillfälle (drop-in).
Man betalar utefter sina ekonomiska förutsättningar–genom att betala lite mer, ni som har mer stabila inkomster möjliggör det för någon med sämre ekonomi att delta. Tack!
Betalningen sker via swish eller kontant.
*Andra praktisk info*
Kom i tid, cirka 10 min innan– man måste vara insläppt och dörren kommer att vara låst under de två timmarna vi är i studion.

*Vem faciliterar?*
Elise Mae Nuding verkar som konstnär inom dans och koreografi. Hon kommer ursprungligen från Storbritannien men är baserad i Sverige sedan 2015 och har varit aktiv som dansare, koreograf, och pedagog såväl i Sverige som utomlands. Hennes erfarenhet som danspedagog sträcker sig över undervisning i högskola- och universitetsutbildningar och en rad andra sammanhang, t.ex. i daglig yrkesträning för dansare och folkbildningar. Kontaktimprovisation har varit en central aspekt av hennes danspraktik, både som teknik och konstnärligt uttryck sen hon först mötte det i USA 2010. Hon har undervisat kontaktimprovisation regelbunden såväl i Sverige som utomlands sedan flera år tillbaka, mest nyligen på Contact Festival Freiburg 2024.
*Om KI*
Kontaktimprovisation utvecklades inom ramen för experimentell modern och nutida dans- och performancepraktik på 1970-talet i USA, men har sedan dess expanderat bortom sina ursprungliga sammanhang och utövas nu i olika sammanhang och gemenskaper inom många delar av världen.
Kontaktimprovisation struktureras oftast i ett så kallat "jam" format där man kan ta sig in och ur dansen på ett fritt och informellt sätt efter egen lust och behov.

Welcome to a 4-class series in Contact Improvisation where we dive into a collaborative exploration of the form!

*What?*
We encounter both ourselves and others with playfulness and curiosity, challenging ourselves to find new movement patterns and possibilities in the dance.
The course will combine specific technique exercises focusing on anatomical placement and gravity with more open structures where we develop our ability to improvise in a group and test out the technical tools we have explored. Focus will be both on specific movement patterns that facilitate sharing weight and on compositional awareness around what we create together in the space.
The classes will also include time for discussion and reflection on your experiences.
The classes will be held in English or Swedish depending on the group's wishes.
*Level*
The classes are mixed-level and are aimed at those who already dance KI regularly and want to deepen your practice and/or those of you who are new to the form and want to develop your technical abilities. It is desirable that you have an understanding of what KI is (e.g. have been to a jam before or tested the form before) to be able to get the most out of these classes.
*Price*
Sliding scale: 150 SEK - 300 SEK per session (drop-in).
You pay according to your financial circumstances - by paying a little more, those of you with more stable incomes make it possible for someone with poorer finances to participate. Thank you, thank you!

*Other practical info*
Arrive on time, about 10 min before the class starts- you must be let in and the door will be locked during the two hours we are in the studio.
Kitchen available on-site to warm food, etc.
*Who is facilitating?*
Elise Mae Nuding is an artist working in dance and choreography. Originally from the UK but based in Sweden since 2015, she has been active as a dancer, choreographer, and educator both in Sweden and abroad. Her experience as a dance educator spans teaching in higher education programs and a range of other contexts, such as in daily professional training for dancers and community contexts. Contact improvisation has been a central aspect of her dance practice, both as a technique and an artistic expression, since she first encountered it in the US in 2010. She has been teaching Contact Improvisation regularly both in Sweden and abroad for several years, most recently at Contact Festival Freiburg 2024.
*About CI*
Contact Improvisation developed in the context of experimental modern and contemporary dance and performance practice in the 1970s in the United States, but has since expanded beyond its original contexts and is now practiced in diverse contexts and communities in many parts of the world. Contact Improvisation is most often structured in a "jam" format where one can move in and out of the dance in a free and informal way according to one's own desire and needs.
