We're excited to be bringing a group of Australian dancers to Kuala Lumpur for a special weekend of Kizomba, Semba, culture, connection, and community with Fanio De Araújo.
This is more than just a workshop event. It's an opportunity to meet dancers from different countries, build friendships, explore Kuala Lumpur together, and share our collective love of Kizomba and Semba.
To maintain a high-quality learning experience and ensure personal attention throughout the weekend, places will be intentionally limited.
Weekend Programme
Saturday
💃 4 Hours of Kizomba & Semba Workshops
Followed by a relaxed Social Night where participants can dance, connect, and continue building friendships beyond the classroom.
Sunday
💃 4 Hours of Kizomba & Semba Workshops
We'll finish the weekend with a Sundowner Session—a chance to unwind, socialise, reflect on the weekend, and enjoy the Kuala Lumpur atmosphere together.
Throughout the weekend, participants will also have opportunities to enjoy local experiences, discover great food, explore Kuala Lumpur, and create unforgettable memories with fellow dancers from Malaysia and Australia.
Optional Pre-Weekend Activities
For those arriving early, Thursday and Friday will be filled with tourist activities, local experiences, great food, and opportunities to explore Kuala Lumpur together.
While these activities are primarily designed for our travelling guests, we'd love members of the local community to join us for some informal pre-weekend gatherings. Whether it's sightseeing, sharing a meal, or simply getting to know each other before the workshops begin, it's a fantastic opportunity to connect before the official weekend starts.
Specific activities and meeting points will be announced closer to the event.
