Copenkiz welcomes you to the third season of 2024!You will learn Kizomba with the incredible Daniela Horta and we are looking SO much forward to welcoming you to our Kizomba family!
Daniela is the most experienced teacher in Denmark and she has been teaching for more than 13 years! She has learned Kizomba from the biggest masters in the scene and she continues to travel and learn to improve her teaching. You will not get a better teacher than Daniela Horta. She is more than capable of teaching both leaders and followers - helping everyone with a deep understanding for both roles.
All information will be presented here, scroll down and read everything so you are sure not to miss anything:
LEVELS:
* Kizomba 1:
This class is for:
- Complete beginners
- Students that have been away from Kizomba for some time
- Students who have ambition to become strong in their basics and body moves while also joining Kizomba 2
- Students that intend to start teaching Kizomba and need inspiration to teach basics
Content: Daniela will get you started from the right place and give you a full and thorough introduction to Kizomba. She will help you understand how to lead and follow, how to understand the music, how to move and connect with the floor and how to adopt the right Kizomba vibe! There will be many details explained and we recommend all students to repeat this course more than once as this will create stronger foundations and space for proper improvement.
* Kizomba 2:
This class is for:
- Improvers students
- Intermediate students
- For those students that have completed Kizomba 1 and who Daniela thinks are ready to also join Kizomba 2.
Content: Daniela will help you improve your techniques and add to the content from Kizomba 1. She will open your mind to new possibilities in your Kizomba and how to improve your movements. It is important that the students in Kizomba 2 have a strong understanding of the basic structures of Kizomba. If you wish to join Kizomba 2 without joining Kizomba 1, we recommend you to contact Daniela and figure out with her if this makes sense for you and your current dance level. We wish for Daniela to be able to keep the level without having to go back and explain material from Kizomba 1 during this class. We thank you for understanding.
WHERE?
We will start our new season in Idrætsfabrikken. Room: Støberiet (2nd floor)
TIMES?
Starting august 22nd and continue for 8 weeks HOWEVER we will have a pause september 12th!
Dates are:
August: 22, 29
September: 5, 19, 26
October: 3, 10
Every thursday:
18-19: Kizomba 1
19-20: Kizomba 2
20-22: Social dancing
PRICES:
1 person 1 level: 820 DKK
Couple 1 level: 1550 DKK
1 person 2 levels: 1550 DKK
Couple 2 levels: 3000 DKK

You will then receive an email with information for payment. Once we receive the payment, you will be registered.

Often asked questions and our answers:
- I already dance bachata/salsa/tango/afrobeats/other dance, do I need to start from the beginning with Kizomba?
-- This is a question we get a lot. Here is what we have to say:
Yes. Kizomba is very different from other couples dances and requires strong basic training to start with. Kizomba looks easier than it is and if you come with habits from other dances, chances are you are in bigger need of basics training than people who haven't danced before. So yes, you need to start from the beginning =) Don't worry, Daniela will take good care of you <3
- Is it strange to sign up by myself?
— No, absolutely not. We have had more than 200 students through our classes that came by themselves to learn Kizomba. You are more than welcome!
