What is Kizomba?
Kizomba is a smooth and romantic partner dance that originated in Angola in the late 1970s. Known for its sensual movements and close connection between partners, it's often danced to slow, melodic beats with a mix of African rhythm and contemporary influences like zouk. The music is rich, emotional, and typically features soft percussion, guitar, and vocals that create a laid-back yet passionate vibe.
It's sometimes called the "African tango" because of its intimacy and fluidity, but it's much more relaxed and grounded, making it accessible for dancers of all skill levels. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned dancer, Kizomba is all about connection, flow, and having fun!
