Hosted at Slap’d, one of Berlin’s most unique and chic bars, the space is adorned with rich, authentic African-inspired decor. From handcrafted woodwork to vibrant cultural patterns, every corner of the venue breathes originality and style. And yes – their signature cocktails are as tasty as they are artistic! 🍹🔥

Konpa (also spelled Kompa) was born in Haiti in the 1950s – a dance and music genre blending African roots with French-Caribbean elegance. It’s slow, romantic, and deeply expressive. A dance of connection, of rhythm, of soul.

Kizomba, hailing from Angola, is known as the “African Tango.” Sensual, close, smooth – it grew from Semba and quickly spread around the world. Today, Kizomba brings people together across cultures, with its deep beats and flowing movements.

At Konpa Berlin, we honor the roots and rhythms of these dances, while embracing their modern, global evolution.
