Every Sunday, come through and get your kiz on!
Kizomba (music genre & dance style) is Angolan. Urban Kiz (dance style) is the bridge: it carries that African diasporic root and connects it to Black American culture through ghetto zouk (music genre), a genre built on R&B and Hip-Hop. This music and this dance are specific, and they have history. This is where that work lives week to week in Austin: a real practica, a real group, open to anyone who wants in.

Here's how Sunday runs:
🕠 5:30–6:30 PM — Class (taught by Charles Ogar and Alina)
🕡 6:30–7:30 PM — Practica
The practica is open-ended. Drill something specific, ask us a question, or just chill and dance with people from class. Charles and Alina float around giving pointers here and there and having fun with the music. We rotate partners each song, so everyone gets plenty of dances.
New to kizomba? Come early, the class meets you where you are.
No partner or experience needed.
Already dance kiz? Come move, connect, and be part of the room.
👟 Wear something you can pivot in. Flats or smooth soles, nothing with heavy grip. Bring water.
🎥 Class breakdowns get recorded and posted to the Kiz ATX library so you can review during the week.

🅿️ Street parking around the building, plus a lot behind it. Give yourself a few extra minutes on busy nights.
