Born and raised on Clare Island off Ireland’s rugged west coast, Niall McCabe’s music is shaped by Atlantic rhythms, fireside songs, and a deep sense of place. Growing up in his family-run pub, he absorbed traditional Irish music alongside folk, rock, and soul, forging a style that bridges tradition and contemporary songwriting.

McCabe’s voice carries both intimacy and history, grounding his work in warmth and quiet emotional power. His debut album Rituals was widely praised for its introspective songwriting and lush folk arrangements, establishing him as a distinctive voice in modern Irish music. His recent second album, released April 2025, expands on these themes, exploring resilience, connection, and the subtle transformations of everyday life.

Influenced by traditional song and Americana, McCabe has shared stages with artists including Chris Isaak, Mary Black, Foy Vance, and Sharon Shannon, and appeared with Transatlantic Sessions in 2025. In March, he made his Grand Ole Opry debut.

Rooted in Clare Island yet reaching far beyond it, McCabe’s music invites listeners into stories that feel both deeply personal and universally familiar.
