This isnāt your average rescueāthis is a truly one-of-a-kind sanctuary in Dunnigan, CA thatās home to horses, sheep, goats, pigs, and even emusā¦ and now, some of the coolest cats in the region are headed to Chico!
Soā¦what does a cat cafĆ© do when faced with this level of wholesome weirdness and cuteness overload???? We hold a Kitten & Cat PAWP-UP ADOPTION FAIRE! š

š HELP US CELEBRATE THE WEIRDO FARMāS MISSION:
Founded in October 2023, The Weirdo Farm is dedicated to making life better for ALL animalsāwhether they have hooves, feathers, or whiskers. In their rural communities of Dunnigan, Arbuckle, and Esparto, theyāve altered over 300 community cats already. When they find kittens under 6 months old, they vet them, socialize them, and find them loving homes. And hereās something extra specialāthey also have Adventure Cats (trained to walk on leashes and explore safely) AND Barn Cats for natural pest control with a side of charm.
Theyāre bringing their friendly, well-loved rescues to Chico for the first time, and we canāt wait to help them place these fantastic felines into amazing forever homes.
š± Event Highlights:
ā¢ Meet The Weirdo Farmās adoptable kittens, cats, and maybe even an Adventure Cat or two!
ā¢ Hang out with our 12+ resident cafĆ© cats in our cozy cat lounge
ā¢ Enjoy light refreshments and an hour of cat time for just $10 per person
ā¢ Walk-ins welcomeāno reservations needed today!
All cats are friendly, vaccinated (initial doses), dewormed, deflea-ed, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
Adoption fees: $150 per kitten or $150 for a pair :)
HOW DOES THE EVENT WORK?
1ļøā£ Pick up an application at Chico Cat CafĆ© located at 1725 Esplanade in Chico. Fill it out ASAP and return it so we can get it to The Weirdo Farm for āpre-approvalā before the event!
2ļøā£ OR apply in person during the event ā The Weirdo Farm will review applications the week following. They will reach out to applicants for interviews and potential adoptions as soon as possible. (No same-day adoptions.)
3ļøā£ Meet the cats! Kittens and cats available through the event will be in large event cages once you get inside. CafĆ© resident cats will be roaming freely.
4ļøā£ Follow safety protocols: Please ask before holding kittens/cats, sanitize your hands before and between handling, and do not place event cats on the cafĆ© floor with resident cats ā THANK YOU! š„°š
