Join KISS OF THE WHIP (Maryland), CHAINS OF DESIRE (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), and special guests COLD CHOIR (Asheville, North Carolina) for an evening of decadent dark dance at the legendary Strangest Bar in NC.KISS OF THE WHIP is a dark electronic project formed in 2017 by Montreal-born artist and producer Tristan Victor, and currently located in Baltimore, Maryland (United States). His first three albums, ‘Like Love Only Real’ (self-released, 2018), ‘New Lows’ (Diffuse Reality Records, 2018), and ‘We’re Not Here’ (Cold Transmission Music, 2019), have been firmly rooted in darkwave, post-punk, and synthpop. The project quickly gained an underground following in Europe and the United States, and with ‘Kiss of the Whip | L’Avenir - Split’ (2023) a collaborative release with fellow Baltimorean artist Jason Sloan, Victor is bringing his darkly uplifting sounds to an increasing variety of audiences.

CHAINS OF DESIRE is the solo endeavor of J. Thompson. Typically the tracks are performed live, recorded directly to cassette. Raw, Harsh production for a raw, harsh world.

COLD CHOIR is an Electro/Darkwave duo with poetic, evocative lyrics, sensual vocals dressed in a cloak of moody soul, with a ferocious power and a vulnerable delivery. Growing up in Miami in the 90s they were heavily influenced by the music they would encounter playing in the clubs of the time. From Electro and Freestyle to Darkwave and Techno their music has no rules or boundaries.
