Kirrily Humphries is a Canberra based artist known for her astoundingly detailed paintings and drawings that depict scenes within abandoned, derelict structures. These often-decaying spaces, filled with the detritus of their past history remind us of our own impermanence and the ephemeral nature of human power. This exhibition will present a new series of intricate pencil drawings, restrained yet powerful compositions. By working at a small scale, Kirrily encourages an immersive experience for viewers, encouraging quiet contemplation.
