Scots in Tartans WILL PARADE INTO CHURCH OF THE REDEEMER AT 11 AM 24 APRIL! This is a joint local area cultural event held with St Andrew Society, Caledonian Club of SW Fla, New World Celts-Sarasota, & the Sarasota Scottish Heritage Society.Please get the word out to your friends who would like to participate.
Scots will assemble in front of Redeemer's naive at 10:30 AM in all YOUR regalia (kilts, sash, etc...) for our tartan waving procession into the church lead by pipers and the majestic Nichols & Simpson organ playing Highland Cathedral. Redeemer is the home church of Sarasota's founding Scots of the Ormiston Colony (1885). The church was consecrated by John Hamilton Gillespie in 1905.
