Kinusaiga Workshop | Japanese Textile Art
Ready for your new hyperfixation? Try out Kinusaiga, a contemporary Japanese art form to create mosaic like artwork out of fabric scraps! This no-sew activity is an excellent way to keep your hands busy and leaves you with a richly tactile piece. The example you see is largely comprised of felts, but you can use any fabric in this class; mix and match to make your own one-of-a-kind piece!
In our first class, we'll be doing a simple design like this balloon dog to get you acquainted with the technique!
What to expect:
-Small class size (Caps at 10)
-Beginner friendly, kids 11+ okay, but be aware there is some cutting with exacto blades
-All supplies provided, you are welcome to bring in additional fabric scraps for your design.
