Kinusaiga Workshop

Join us for a Kinusaiga Workshop at Harvey's Garden! During this workshop your host, Ashe of Forged from Ashe Studios, will teach you the basics of Kinusaiga (pronounced “key-new-sigh-ga”), a modern Japanese art form that transforms fabric scraps into rich, dimensional artwork that resembles a quilt or fabric "painting". Ashe will teach you how to layer and tuck fabric into grooves on a foam board using vibrant fabrics, texture and traditional no-sew fabric inlay techniques to create a textile art masterpiece! Your completed sunset piece will measure 8x8 in.
This event is also hosted in collaboration with Magpie Custom Creations, Ashe's studio neighbor in the Cortland Corset Building.
This ticket includes your first drink at Harvey's - please see them for details when you arrive.
This event will be held up in the loft at Harvey's. You're welcome (and encouraged!) to purchase food and additional beverages at Harvey's and indulge during our class. (Please Note: The loft is only accessible by stairs. Please reach out before purchasing tickets if you cannot do stairs and we may be able to move the event downstairs!)
