About this Event

Kinusaiga (絹彩画) is a Japanese fabric art where instead of stitching, you tuck small pieces of fabric into a carved panel to build a textured, painterly picture — no needle, no glue, no sewing machine required.
Palmetto & Pine Creations is bringing this craft to The Hoot for an afternoon of hands-on making, good company, and Columbia's own neighborhood spot for odd birds. Pick your design, settle in, and leave two hours later with a finished piece you made yourself.
You will choose your design at the event:
• Sunrise Over Hills — warm, easy, and forgiving. A great first project if this is your first craft night in a while (or ever).
• Heart + Love — an anatomical heart wrapped in a pride flag. A colorful, detailed design with real meaning behind it.
No experience needed for either — just come ready to slow down and make something with your hands.
