Kintsugi Workshop

In this final workshop for Project Illuminate, we will be exploring the ancient Art of Kintsugi,

a Japanese Art form which mends broken pottery using Gold.

Project Illuminate is an Arts Council funded project exploring depression and anxiety from an Islamic Perspective.

This workshop is FREE, but there are limited spaces, so i am asking for £10 deposit to secure your space. If you attend, this fee will be refunded.

We will start off by explroing depression and anxiety from an Islamic perspective, with the assistance of The Lantern Initiative.

We'll then move onto breaking stoneware ceramic bowls, and then mend them. All bowls will be used on a co-created Artwork, mounted onto a wooden panel, to be exhibited alongside the rest of the works.
