Kintsugi & Sound
About this Event
Turn broken pieces into something to be grateful for.Kintsugi meaning "to join with gold" is the ancient Japanese art of putting broken pottery pieces back together. When pottery is broken, rather than discarding it, the pieces are put back together highlighting the damage thus celebrating the beauty of resiliency and imperfections— a practice of gratitude for every crack, every repair, and the strength found in each one.Join us for a unique, hands-on workshop led by mental health therapist Bayle Russell, where art meets healing. You'll create, reflect, and honor the journey of rebuilding. After the Kintsugi, we'll close with a guided meditation and sound bath led by Té Russ — a chance to release what no longer serves you, give thanks for how far you've come, and let the healing tones make space for renewal.
