Kinsugi - Restoring Through Brokenness
About this Event
SOLD OUT LAST YEAR — BOOK EARLY
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. It teaches that cracks and fractures can become sites of beauty, strength and renewal— that the repair is part of the object's story rather than something to hide. In this hands-on workshop we explore Kintsugi both as a creative practice and as a way of thinking about our own repair. Through the slow, carefulwork of piecing something back together, we reflect on loss, resilience and change. No artistic experience is needed. All materials are provided, and you take home what you make.
Good to know— this workshop involves handling broken ceramic. Gloves and safety guidance are provided. Places are capped so there is time for everyone.
Every Kintsugi session is co-facilitated with a member of the VTV community who has shared their own story for wider change. All profits go back into that work.
