Register for the youth workshop for kids 15 and under. Older youth are also permitted (up to 25 years old).

Presented by the Louis Diène Faye Foundation (LDFF) in collaboration with Edewor Foundation, this captivating event promises to be a regal experience like no other. Immerse yourself in the multidisciplinary arts, culture, and humanities curated by LDFF — a nonprofit foundation committed to fostering creativity, unity, and empowerment. From vibrant workshops to performances, we’ll honor the richness of Africa’s past, present, and future.
The Kings & Queens of Africa event is one of the most unique cultural events that provides a diverse platform for underserved, underrepresented, and overlooked artists and performers, promotes cultural understanding, creates positive social impact, and embraces the power of tradition, education, and celebration. This event promotes the achievements and contributions of Africans and people of African descent through art, music, theater, fashion, design, dance, drumming, spoken word, comedy, and storytelling from various communities and backgrounds fostering unity and celebrate the beauty of diversity.

This extraordinary celebration is one way of sharing history, culture and traditions with our brothers and sisters that we have been Kings and Queens for generations and generations.
The event will honor the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and contributions of African royalty. It promises to be an inspiring gathering featuring distinguished guests, enlightening presentations, cultural performances, and opportunities for networking with DMV residents, community leaders, visitors, celebrities, and dignitaries from across the African continent and the African diaspora.
The event line-up includes workshops, art exhibits, vendor expo, interviews, auction, red carpet entrance, VIP reception and Kings & Queens of Africa Show The event will showcase the work of artists, comedians, emerging boutique designers, fashion student designers, music & dance student performers, international designers, musicians, and runway models from the DC Metropolitan Area.
