Whether you're a seasoned pro or a newbie, this event is open to all. Join us for a day filled with intense matches, epic plays, and a chance to prove your skills against other gamers. • Max Teams: 16 Teams
• Game of Spades: Big Joker/Little Joker/Deuce of Diamonds/Deuce of Spades
• Skill Level: Intermediate to G.O.A.T

What to Expect:

• Competitive Trash Talk (respectfully)
• Double Elimination format gives teams a chance to bounce back and redem themselves
• Each Table will keep their own score

SPADE TOURNAMENT RULES

Two individuals register as a team. Double elimination play.

BE ON TIME: Tournament will start at 7pm. All teams must be checked in. Late teams will be placed at the end or forfeit.

TEAMS - will be composed of 2 players who will sit directly across from each other when playing.

POINTS - Games will be played to 700. No Bids. No Bag penalty. 7 Books equals 100 points and each book collected after the first 7 books will be an additional 100 points. ex. 7 books= 100pts... the 8th book = 200, 9th book= 300....etc. First to 700 wiins. If a team manages to collect 13 books in the first dealt hand, that Team wins that round automatically and advances to the next round.

Double Elimination: The teams that loses in their first round, will have an opportunity to redem themselves in the Redemption Bracket. The Winner of the Redemption Bracket will qualify to play in the Final Round against the Winner of the Champions Bracket.

Score will be kept by the "Head of the Table". This person is chosen and agreed upon at the start of the game. The "Head of the Table" will make sure that points are recorded on the score pad.

No talking across the table. Competitive banter is encouraged respectfully.

Deal to the Left/ Cut to the Right. Straight Cut/Straight Deal.

MISDEAL - when a player was not dealt exactly 13 cards. In the event of a misdeal, the cards are reshuffled and the next player to the left is the new dealer. No spades/No face cards do not warrant a misdeal. Play your hand. Be a Legend.

LEADING CARD - Players must follow the suit of the lead card. If a player does not have a card of that suit, the player can choose to throw a spade or throw off with another suit.

SPADES - spade will “trump” or beat all other suits.

LEADING WITH SPADES - Any Suit may lead. Spades do not have to be "Broke In"

CARD LAID - “A card laid is a card played!” and cannot be picked up. A reneg can not be forced.

RENEGING – If a reneg is called, there are no take backs. All renegs must be honored and the book must be called. Closed books must be in order to allow the other team to pick the "reneged book". You can not hide a book to avoid a reneged call. The player that called the reneg will need to select the book he/she believes to be the reneg. If a false reneg is called the other team forfeits 3 books from their winnings. If the incorrect book is selected, the other team forfiets 3 books from their winnings. BE CAREFUL.

NO CHEATING – Cheating will not be tolerated and will result in immediate elimination from the tournament.
