She has released 19 albums over the course of her career including her latest, Hypnotized, which marks the latest iteration of the long and fruitful personal and professional relationship she has formed with her son, musician/songwriter/producer Gabriel Rhodes. On September 12, 2025 Kimmie has her next release planned – West Texas Heaven Revisited, a newly remixed and remastered “revisit” of her critically acclaimed album West Texas Heaven from 1996, that featured duets with Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings and Townes Van Zandt. The new release has multiple bonus out takes from the original sessions and she has included newly remastered versions of a duet with Emmylou Harris and Beth Nielsen Chapman and another duet with Waylon Jennings of “Lines” a song they wrote together which has also been remastered. Along with this release she is publishing a companion songbook West Texas Heaven Revisited; The Stories and Songs that is comprised of sheet music with guitar charts and lyrics, personal archival photos and other materials and an intimate account of all of the songs that shares why she was inspired to write them and details about the sessions and the fortuitous circumstances that led her to recording with her Americana heroes of the era.
