This is not simply a cooking class—it is a cultural experience designed for adoptees. Through making kimchi, sharing a traditional meal, and connecting through stories, participants can rediscover their heritage in a supportive, communal setting.
Welcome & Storytelling (15 min) – Sharing the meaning of kimjang and personal family memories.
Kimchi-Making Experience (90 min) – Baechu Geotjeori (fresh napa kimchi), Oi Sobagi (stuffed cucumber kimchi), Pa Kimchi (scallion kimchi). Children join in simple steps.
Shared Korean Meal (60 min) – Bossam (boiled pork wraps) with vegan tofu option, rice, fresh kimchi.
Closing & Reflection (15 min) – Sharing reflections, photo, take-home kimchi (3 containers) + bilingual recipe card.
