Kiku Listening Sessions: Brazil 70
About this Event
To help keep the room intimate and committed, each RSVP requires the purchase of a $20 dining credit. This is not a cover charge — your credit goes toward your food or drink tab that evening. Tickets are fully refundable up to 24 hours before event start time.
This July, KIKU returns to 915 Dupont for Brasil 70 — four weekly listening sessions dedicated to the sound of Brazil in the 1970s.
KIKU means “listening” in Japanese, and that’s the spirit of the series: slowing down, gathering in a room, and hearing a record the way it was meant to be heard — with attention, context, and other people.
For this month, we’re celebrating Brazilian jazz-funk, soul, samba, fusion, and cosmic groove through four essential albums from Azymuth, Tim Maia, Banda União Black, and Milton Nascimento & Lô Borges.
Come for the record, but make a night of it. 915 Dupont will be open for dinner, cocktails, and conversation before and after the session — a full evening built around food, drinks, stories, and deep listening.
