Kiki Dee & Carmelo Luggeri – The Long Ride Home Final Irish Tour
For over 25 years, Kiki Dee and Carmelo Luggeri have been captivating audiences across the UK and Europe with their spellbinding acoustic live shows. Stripping their music down to its raw essence allows their exceptional talents to shine, creating an intimate atmosphere that resonates deeply with their fans.
Kiki recently marked her 55th year in the music industry, cementing her reputation as one of the UK’s finest and most revered vocalists. She credits Carmelo, her favorite guitarist, with co-writing and producing all of their songs. Together, they continue to evolve, always pushing forward with new music.
Their latest album, *The Long Ride Home* (2022), has been widely praised, offering haunting and emotional tracks that will delight their devoted fans. The duo's performances include songs from the new album, as well as unique covers of artists like Kate Bush, Frank Sinatra, and Leonard Cohen, alongside Kiki’s classic hits, including "Don’t Go Breaking My Heart," "I Got The Music In Me," "Loving & Free," and "Amoureuse."
Kiki and Carmelo’s collaboration began when Carmelo was first struck by the power of Kiki's voice in the studio, and it was Steve Brown (who discovered Elton John) who encouraged them to team up. This moment marked a turning point in their careers.
Their partnership has remained dynamic over the years, with their live shows blending Kiki’s iconic hits with eclectic covers, all enriched by Carmelo’s intricate acoustic arrangements and Kiki's unmistakable voice. They continue to tour in both the UK and the US, leaving a lasting legacy of creativity and innovation.
With Kiki planning to retire in 2025, this unique partnership will continue to be remembered for its unforgettable music and remarkable journey.
