Tuffsummit Hikers likes to invite you to KIJABE HILLS HIKE & DARK TUNNEL ADVENTURE (5th JUNE 2022)

Hiking the Kijabe hills. This is a technical 5-7 hrs hike for the most adventurous hikers. We will starts from Magina then dissent to the railway line then cut through thick forest vegetation to get to the caves and hot springs. The hiking route follows Kijabe River with a series of several stunning waterfalls. Our mission will be to reach the furthest and also the highest waterfall. This adventure will require you to walk jump crawl slide and bend and sometimes to stop and think of how you will make the next step.

The adventure will lead us to walk through the dark tunnel an underground man-made water tunnel with no light at the end. If you are bold enough you will attempt to get to the end of the 1km pitch-dark tunnel.

We will then conquer ourselves by scaling the three Kijabe Hills to get to a maximum elevation of 2688m above sea level. Here we will enjoy breathtaking views of the Rift Valley with Mt. Longonot standing gracefully just a few kilometers across. We'll then follow are route where we'll walk under the canopy of cypress trees. Finally we shall descend toward the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway to exit via Soko Mjinga where we shall connect with our transfer vehicles to Nairobi
