✨ Yoga Based Mindfulness & Movement for Kidswith Sara Hastings
In this kids yoga training, Sara will take you through experiential understanding of what makes a great kid’s yoga teacher.
Using her 20 years of teaching experience, plus 6 years facilitating children's yoga trainings in Alberta, BC and California, Sara brings in patience, creativity, flexibility, compassion, acceptance, open-mindedness and more! These traits not only reflect what a kid's yoga teacher looks like, but reflects values that we hold as human beings. Discover your authentic teacher in a weekend of fun!
In this training you will explore:
- the ABC’s of what makes Yoga different for children than adults
- Anatomy, and how to bring the concepts into classes
- Creative lesson planning
- Creating an engaging and meaningful class experience
- Mindfulness for at home and in the classroom
- Sharing yoga for children from a trauma sensitive lens
- Teens and family yoga
This training counts as 50 hours towards Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Upgrades. It is also a core module for the Prana 300 Yoga Teacher Training.

On top of the in person hours, please note that there will be a book review, a class observation, and a practicum element required for certification.
