Kid's Workshop: Tie Dye T-Shirts

In this class, kids will have fun learning the art of tie dying, while creating their own unique t-shirts. We’ll provide everything your kids will need to create their very own tie dye masterpiece, including a t-shirt. But, if your kids have their own shirt they would like to dye, feel free to bring it!

This workshop is best enjoyed by those 4-15 years of age.

About the Instructor:

Barbara Paris’s work can be found in many public and private art collections throughout North and South America.

Currently based in Austin, Texas, she was born in New York City and raised in New Jersey. Barbara received her B.A. in Art Education and B.F.A. in Studio Art from the University of Massachusetts.

Barbara describes her work as intention. That is, she puts the paint where it belongs and the paint goes on to become what it is. She works with strong color and texture, adding elements such as glass and paper to the canvas, the purpose of which is to surround herself with things that make her feel good, and to share that feeling with others.
