Kids Workshop: Junk Mosaics

Join us for a fun-filled Junk Mosaics workshop at Austin Creative Reuse! Let your little ones unleash their creativity as they transform ordinary junk into beautiful mosaics. Our experienced instructor, Barb, will guide the children through the process, ensuring they have a blast while learning valuable skills.

This workshop is appropriate for ages 4-15 only. Minors do not have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during the workshop. Adults must come inside to drop their minor off with the workshop instructor. Drop off begins 10 minutes before the scheduled start time, and everyone must be picked up at the scheduled end of the workshop.

About the Instructor:

Barbara Paris’s work can be found in many public and private art collections throughout North and South America.

Currently based in Austin, Texas, she was born in New York City and raised in New Jersey. Barbara received her B.A. in Art Education and B.F.A. in Studio Art from the University of Massachusetts.

Barbara describes her work as intention. That is, she puts the paint where it belongs and the paint goes on to become what it is. She works with strong color and texture, adding elements such as glass and paper to the canvas, the purpose of which is to surround herself with things that make her feel good, and to share that feeling with others.
