Kids' Workshop: HeART Lab

About the workshop

Come and learn about your heart, what it looks like, how it works and why it's so important.

Get involved and decorate your own anatomical heart. Will it be anatomically accurate, or a multi-coloured work of art?

Meet the anatomist

Jennifer Paxton (BSc, Msc, PhD, FAS) is a Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of Anatomy at the University of Edinburgh. When she isn't teaching the complexities of the human body, or researching ways to build new body parts, she enjoys inspiring the next generation of scientists through her children's anatomy books and interactive outreach events.

How it works

1. Book a free, 1-hour arrival time slot
2. Arrive at the workshop at any point within your chosen time slot
3. Stay for as long as you'd like - the workshop will run until 2pm & the Gallery is open until 4:30pm
4. All children must be accompanied by an adult during the workshop and while in the Gallery
