🦋Our Mission: We are dedicated to transforming the lives of children in our community who are experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatments or other medical conditions.
We believe every child deserves to feel confident, beautiful, and supported during their journey. Through our fundraising efforts, we aim to provide wigs, emotional support, and resources to help these brave young individuals regain their sense of self and joy.
Together, we can make a difference, one smile at a time.
EVENT DETAILS:
7:30 pm - 8:30 pm: Salsa Calena Footwork - w/Simba
8:30 pm - 9:30 pm: Bachata Lesson (Beginner +) - w/Maxwell Aguilar from Caribbean touch studio
9:30 pm: Performances
10:00 pm - 2:00pm: BKS Social

🦋ABOUT OUR CAUSE:
Childhood cancer and other medical conditions that cause hair loss can be incredibly challenging for young individuals, impacting their self-esteem and emotional well-being. In Edmonton alone, approximately 1 in 285 children will develop cancer before the age of 20, and thousands of Canadian children lose their hair each year due to treatments and other conditions. Our mission is to provide wigs attached to caps or beanies, which offer significant benefits over traditional wigs. These innovative solutions not only restore confidence and a sense of normalcy but also protect children’s heads from excessive heat or cold. Unlike natural wigs, which can often be itchy and uncomfortable, wigs attached to caps or beanies are designed for comfort and can be worn without concerns of itchiness. This thoughtful approach ensures that children can focus on their recovery and daily activities without the added discomfort of traditional wigs. By supporting our cause, you are helping to provide these brave young individuals with a practical and comfortable solution that enhances their quality of life. Your contribution directly impacts their well-being, offering them the confidence and protection they need during a difficult time.
