Kids Sewing Camp

Welcome to Kids Sewing Camp!

Come join us at Project 658 (3646 Central Avenue) for a fun-filled week of learning how to sew! Our camp is perfect for kids who are interested in getting creative with fabrics and thread. Throughout the week, campers will learn basic sewing techniques and create their own projects. In this camp we will make a 9-patch quilt, tote bags, scrunchies and pillow cases.

Dates/Times: Monday June 24 - Thursday June 27 9:30 AM -1:00 PM

Materials: All materials are included unless otherwise stated in the camp description. Students are provided a sewing machine and sewing tools during camp.

Age Requirements: 8+ | Students will be divided into groups based on their age and/or their sewing ability and experience.

Cost: $200 | We will provide a discount for families or friends of more than one student purchasing together. All proceeds will go to Make Welcome Sewing School to help them further their work with refugee women in Charlotte and beyond. Through your participation in this camp, you are giving back to those in need and supporting your local community. Because you are supposrting a local non-profit through this camp, your camp purchase is a donation. So, all purchases of this camp are tax deductible as a charital donation.

Our experienced instructors will guide campers through each step of the sewing process, from threading a needle to using a sewing machine to cutting fabric and different techniques specific to each project. No prior sewing experience is required - just bring your enthusiasm and creativity!

When you register for the event, you will receive a questionnaire and a separate invoice. Once invoice is sent out, you have 5 days to pay. If not paid in 5 days, your registration will be canceled.
