Kids Play Pickle Ball

The Dink Daddy Pickleball Tournament is more than just a day of matches — it’s a community event with a purpose. Alongside exciting competition, kids will have their own dedicated space to learn pickleball from the ground up, enjoy games, and most importantly, have fun. This kids’ event is directly tied to the Sol Aureus College Prep fundraiser, helping raise funds to send 6th-grade students on a life-changing week-long outdoor school experience at Shady Creek.

For many of these students, Shady Creek is a rare opportunity to explore the environment, build teamwork, and gain confidence beyond the classroom. As a Title I school serving a predominantly underserved community, many Sol Aureus families cannot afford the full cost of tuition and transportation. By bringing families, players, and sponsors together through this tournament, we are helping cover those costs and ensuring that money is never a barrier to a child’s growth.

This is why the kids’ event matters: we’re doing this for them, so it only makes sense to have them playing too.
