Got a kid that likes to dance or make music? Consider signing them up for Kids' Music and Dance, a class exploring different types of music and dancing. For school-aged kids there is a week long class July 8-12 from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. There is also a class for preschoolers that is a series of six weekly classes on Thursday mornings from May 9th to June 13th at 10:30 a.m. A discount is available for children of Southside Community Center members.For the school-age class we will be having fun while learning types, elements, and the history of music and dancing - From classical to rap, and ballet to the Electric Slide. Preschool will focus more on exposure to different styles of music with simple notes on music, dance, and instruments. Taught by a WA State Certified teacher who has studied violin, ballet, swing dance, and more.
For both classes, prices start at $90 for the series for children of members, $100 for non-members if registered early. The price goes up $10 after May 3rd for preschoolers and after June 28thfor school age kids.
