Children and their adults will learn to knit a simple rectangle that can be turned into a cowl, a scarf, or fingerless mitts.
Using chunky yarn and large needles, available at Casting On, students will learn the basics to get started with knitting.
Students can choose to knit a short length of knitted fabric that will be sewn into mitts or a cowl, or they can choose to knit a longer length that will be worn as a scarf.
Materials to purchase before class:
-Cowl or Mitts: 100 grams of chunky or bulky weight yarn.
-Scarf: 200-300 grams of chunky or bulky weight yarn.
Needles: Straight or circular knitting needles in the size recommended for the yarn purchased. (The yarn label will list a suggested needle size.)
Cost: $15 per student, due at sign up to secure your spot.
Class size limited to 6 children.
