Rico, a self-described "lowly gifted" 10-year-old, meets 8-year-old Oskar, a cautious genius who always wears a helmet for safety. Despite their differences, they quickly bond and Rico gains confidence to explore his neighborhood. When Oskar goes missing, Rico thinks he has been kidnapped by a serial child abductor known as Mr. 2000. Determined to save his friend, Rico uses his keen observational skills to uncover clues and find Oskar.
