Kids Improv for Public Speaking & Social Confidence
About this Event
This is a seven week class held on Sundays 11am-1pm Sundays September 6- October 18 taught by Instructor Angela Vaughn
What if speaking in front of a group could actually be fun?
In this playful seven-week workshop at Stomping Ground Comedy, kids ages 10-13 will use improv games and creative challenges to build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and learn how to express themselves with ease. Whether your child is naturally outgoing or a little shy, this class creates a welcoming space where everyone can participate, take risks in a safe space,, and discover that mistakes are just part of the fun.
Through laughter, teamwork, and imagination, students will practice thinking quickly, speaking clearly, and connecting with others—all while playing games that make learning feel like play.
Students Will Practice:
- Speaking with Confidence: Learn how to share ideas in front of a group with a strong voice and positive body language.
- Quick Thinking: Build the confidence to handle surprises, answer questions, and stay calm when plans change.
- Listening & Teamwork: Strengthen communication by working together, supporting classmates, and building on each other's ideas.
- Making Connections: Practice conversation skills, meeting new people, and feeling more comfortable in social situations.
- Growing Through Play: Discover that trying something new, making mistakes, and laughing together are all part of being human.
No acting or comedy experience is needed—just a willingness to jump in and have fun! Every activity is designed to help students feel successful while developing real-life skills they can use at school, in presentations, during class discussions, in extracurricular activities, and in everyday conversations.
By the end of the series, students will leave with stronger communication skills, greater self-confidence, and the courage to speak up, share their ideas, and support others.
. All sales are final. All students must adhere to policies in the Stomping Ground Student Handbook. Must be 10-13 years old.
