Kids' Creative Writing Course: Easter 2026, ages 10-13

Step into a world of imagination, adventure, and writing in this five or ten day creative writing course for young storytellers!

Over Easter we will dive into world-building, character creation and plotting as we explore all of the ingredients that go into good stories.

You can either book individual sessions for £25 or all five sessions for £110. You can book both weeks if you want as we will do different activities each week if we have the same students.

In all of our sessions we encourage imagination above everything else! If your child loves to read or write, loves imaginary worlds (but isn't always happy writing at school) or is looking for a great new group of friends, this course will be perfect for them.

Sarah E Williams is an experienced creative writing tutor. For over five years she has been teaching creative writing to children an adults alike via online platforms and in person. Since moving to York last year she has been collaborating with The Blue House Bookshop in order to bring her love of writing to younger students. She brings excitement and enthusiasm to each class and helps every child believe that they can succeed in writing while enjoying the process.

When she isn't teaching creative writing, she is the Managing Director of York Creatives, teaches refugees computer and general skills, and continues to write her own works of fiction.
