Kids Can Native Planting Workshop
About this Event
Join Keep Pinellas Beautiful in partnership with City of Clearwater for a native planting and educational event at Moccasin Lake Nature Park!
Educational lessons will include the importance of native plants & how to properly plant in the ground, as well as a watershed lesson: Scouts will learn what a watershed is, discover how different types of pollution impact watersheds, and watch a watershed model come to life.

Please note: Volunteers under the age of 18 need to be signed in by a parent or guardian. Volunteers under the age of 15 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the event.

WHERE TO MEET: Moccasin Lake Nature Park - 2750 Park Trail Ln, Clearwater, FL 33759. Please meet at the picnic shelter behind the Birds of Prey exhibit.
WHEN: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
WHAT TO WEAR: Volunteers must wear closed toe shoes, sun protection, and weather appropriate clothing.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Gloves, sunscreen, bug repellent and water will be provided. Please bring a refillable water bottle.
PARKING: Parking will be limited inside the park. Please park along the street outisde of the entrance of Moccasin Lake Nature Park.
