Kids Calm & Relaxation Session
About this Event
Some kids don’t need more advice – they need to feel safer in their bodies.
At Balance Body Hub in North London, I work with sensitive, intense or easily overwhelmed kids who show their stress through behaviour, big feelings or “shutting down”. This Kids Calm & Relaxation Session is a gentle, 1:1 nervous system‑aware space where your child can explore calm through play, breath, simple movement and soft sensory input – at their own pace.
Who this is for
– Kids who get easily overwhelmed by noise, change or busy days
– Children who find it hard to wind down after school or before bed
– Families who want more nervous‑system‑based support alongside (or instead of) purely cognitive strategies
What we’ll do at Balance Body Hub
– Begin with a short chat with you (and your child, if appropriate) about what feels hard right now – transitions, bedtimes, big emotions, school stress
– Offer simple, playful calm‑down activities: breath, gentle movement, co‑regulation games and soft sensory tools (light, sound, cosy pressure)
– Create moments of rest and “settling” so your child can feel what calm and safety are like in their own body
– Share 1–2 tiny practices you can try together at home to support calmer, softer moments in daily life
What they’ll leave with
– A felt sense of what “calmer” and “safer” can feel like in their body
– A couple of simple, repeatable tools you can use in real situations (after school, at bedtime, during tricky transitions)
– You’ll leave with a bit more understanding of how your child’s nervous system speaks through their behaviour
Sessions take place in a quiet, private Balance Body Hub studio in North London. Everything is one‑to‑one and slow‑paced, so we can adapt activities to your child’s age, needs and sensitivity level.
