Kids Bike Swap July 14th

Come join the free fun and celebrate NYS State Parks Centennial Anniversary! Thanks to Bllomberg Philanthropies and Citi Bank, we will have 100 new bikes and helmets to distribute to children over 3 Kids Bike Swap events this summer.

Please make just one ticket reservation for the family. This allows us to contact you in case of bad weather.

The Kids Bike Swap starts at 11am. Children must be present with a parent or legal guardian. Bikes are distributed on a first come, first serve basis. We will not check for Eventbrite tickets, so be sure to sign up at the welcome table upon arrival. At this time, the parent/guardian will be asked to sign a waiver for each child swapping a bike.

At 1:30pm, we will distribute safety checked bikes to children without a bike to swap. These bikes are generally the smaller bikes, fitting children who are under 4 ft. tall.

We advise that you wear sun screen and bring water or a water bottle to fill at a fountain, due to the lack of shade.

If the weather forecast shows a high percentage of rain, this event may be cancelled. If there is a cancellation, we will send an email by 9am that morning. The rain date will be Saturday, August 23rd. Each Kids Bike Swap event is published at the beginning of the month in which it is scheduled.

This event is hosted by NYS Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation and the Natural Heritage Trust. We thank the NYC Department of Transportation for donating Vison Zero helmets, and Citi Bank for donating 100 bikes & helmets, and the Kids Ride Club volunteer mechanics who refurbish the children's bikes and help at each event.
