Laura Doherty is a nationally touring children’s musician known for her warm folk-pop sound and award-winning songs.Laura Doherty is a nationally touring children’s musician known for her warm folk-pop sound and award-winning songs, with millions of Spotify streams and regular rotation on Pandora and XM/Sirius radio. A longtime teaching artist at Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music, she launched her full-time performing career in 2009 and has released five family-friendly albums. Backed by her band The Heartbeats, Laura performs at top family venues and festivals across the country, including Ravinia, Lollapalooza, SXSW, Nashville’s Pilgrimage Fest, and Virginia’s Wolf Trap Theatre. Her interactive shows feature catchy tunes, her adorable animal puppet characters Domingo the Flamingo and Jazzasaurus, and plenty of sing- along fun. Her debut children’s book, Muddy Puddles , launched in 2025, adding another creative spark to her joyful, music- filled world.
