About this Event
In this kids art workshop, participants will create a glowing winter landscape inspired by the northern lights. Using chalk pastels, paint, and simple techniques, kids will learn how to blend color, create depth, and build a nighttime scene filled with movement and light.
We’ll begin by creating a star filled sky and snowy horizon, then layer in colorful bands of auroras using chalk pastels and a simple blending method. Kids will explore how artists use color, space, and reflection to create the illusion of light dancing across the sky. To finish the scene, students will add silhouetted trees and reflections to bring their winter landscape to life.
This workshop is designed to feel calm, magical, and rewarding. The focus is on process, exploration, and confidence building rather than perfection. Each child will leave with a finished northern lights artwork they can proudly take home.
This is a paid workshop and all materials are included with the ticket. Seating is limited to keep the group size comfortable and engaging.
Ages 5+. Parents may join. Seats must be purchased in advance, and a ticket is required for each participant to cover materials.
