Kids' Acting Academy, will host its very FIRST Kids' Acting Academy Alumni & Friends Variety Show! This is a fundraiser for us to relaunch Kids’ Acting Academy with a SPLASH in 2025 with “Finding Nemo, Jr.”! Our goal is to fundraise $7,000! Whether you are a KAA Alum or not, we would love to have a variety of young people as well as adults showcasing their talents!If you are interested in performing a piece for the Kids' Acting Academy Alumni & Friends Variety Show, kindly respond to this Facebook Event. Auditions will be on Tuesday, August 6th & Wednesday, August 7th from 4:00-6:30 pm. Rehearsals will be on Thursday, August 8th & Friday, August 9th. The fundraiser performance will be on Saturday, August 10th at 7:00 pm at the MHS Community Auditorium.
If you don't know what to perform, here are some ideas, but remember that the sky's the limit! Examples:
Dance Pieces - Solo, Small Group, Portion from a Dance Performance
Musical Pieces - Vocal, Instrumental, Solo, or Small Group - Could be a piece from school OR if you are an adult, get the band back together! 😀
Acting Pieces - Monologues or Scene Work with Others, Shakespeare, etc.
Project from School - Poetry Out Loud, National History Day performance or documentary film, Speech Contest pieces, etc.
Reading of your Own Poetry or Short Story
Juggling, Magic Act, and More!
If you are unable to attend the auditions, we will accept video auditions sent to Vanessa Engel at [email protected]
If you would rather be an audience member, the cost of tickets is $10.00 per person. Any additional donations are totally optional and can be made at the event on Saturday, August 10th or can be sent to:
