Mike VandeVord is a 2009 Annandale graduate and Annandale Police Community Service Officer. After being misdiagnosed with type 1 diabetes as a child, he has been in kidney failure and on dialysis for three years. On August 20th, he received a living donor kidney at the Mayo!! Him and his wife, Jennifer, have been staying in Rochester, near the hospital since the surgery and may need to stay up to three more weeks. The money raised will help the family with lodging, gas, co-pays, medications, etc.
