Learn to Crochet - KidsDate: Friday, June 9th, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Cost: $20 per student, maximum 8 students, due at sign up in store or via Square invoice to secure your space in class.
Description: Whether you’re completely new to crochet or taught yourself during the pandemic, join us for Learn to Crochet in a Day - Kids. In this class we’ll start from the very beginning, making sure you start with a good foundation. This class is recommended for kids who can stay focused on a task for 2 hours, enjoy crafting and have good fine motor skills.
Tools and Supplies:
Yarn - any super bulky weight yarn, wool, animal fiber or a mix of animal fiber and acrylic or nylon is recommended. Yarns with plant fibers are not recommended. A variety of appropriate yarns are available at Casting On. I recommend lighter colored yarns with a smooth twist – no fuzziness or mohair.
Hook – US M (8.0mm)
Notions – 4 locking stitch markers, tapestry needle, and scissors
All tools and supplies are available at Casting On for an additional cost.
Pattern: No pattern is required.
What you need to know: Nothing, we’re starting at the very beginning.
What you’ll learn: Chaining, single crochet, stitch abbreviations, tensioning yarn, tips for keeping track of stitches and more.
