This is the official ride that kicks off the festivities every year. This year's ride is led by a father/kid duo - Perry and Jinx - with the support of Kidical Mass and the skate community.If you ordered merch by May 14th, you can pick up items at the park. Volunteers will be selling a limited number of Bike Summer pennants and stickers from from 5pm to 6pm and handing out pre-ordered merch ‘till 6:15pm. No t-shirts are sold at the park, but we'll have shirts for you to try on before you buy online. www.shop.rendered.co/bikesummer
We'll have Ride Leader pennants to give away - first come, first served - for those who already have rides on the calendar.
Volunteers on site will help affix pennants to bikes.
Timeline:
5:00pm - Event starts, DJ Enso kicks off
5:45pm - Corker meeting at Tennis Courts
5:50pm - Speeches from community members begin
6:00pm - Sales end at merch booth
6:15pm - Last chance to pick up pre-ordered merch
6:18pm - Kidical Mass, skaters, and other vulnerable riders make their way to the exit of park
6:20pm - Band starts
6:300pm - Ride departs
7:45pm - Picnic and hang at Grant Park
